Mr. Gioia has been a proactive member of the architectural profession for over six years. Mr. Gioia, a NY native, has been a LEED AP and an Associate of the AIA-NY Chapter for over five years. With Bachelors from Pratt Institute, in Brooklyn, New York and educational experience abroad, he continues his awareness and passion of the architectural profession.
One of Mr. Gioia's current projects includes an extensive zoning and massing analysis for multiple sites within the five boroughs for the largest city land owner. He and his team are charged for exhuming and analyzing municipal records, historic analysis of City Planning and BSA actions, as well as Certificate of Occupancy Analysis to understand the full development potential of over 115 sites. His recently completed project, a 250,000 GSF alteration/ renovation within an existing Landmark building can attest to his knowledge of construction practice, historic structures and assemblies, as well as assisting as a liaison to multiple city, state, and federal government entities.
Mr. Gioia's knowledge of both domestic and international codes and standards, as well as deep understanding of client needs and goals, helps to ensure that every project starts with a clear direction and structure allowing schedule and budget to remain on target. He is heavily involved in all LEED and Sustainable design strategies, and is deeply committed to the Green movement by hosting in-house workshops to discuss current Sustainable trends and design strategies, enabling design versatility and optimum building performance.
